Saturday, September 1 - Monday, September 3: The Real Dirt on Farmer John at the Pickford Cinema.  Shows at 4:40pm.

Saturday, September 8: Salmon & Corn Festival at the Bellingham Farmers MarketThe perfect opportunity to stock an all-local kitchen.

Saturday, September 8: Chef in the Market with Amy Pelham at the Bellingham Farmers Market.

Flats Tapas Bar - An entire week of all-local specials, culminating in an entirely local special menu (yes, the whole menu!) on Saturday. 

Swan Cafe & Deli - Three all-local hot specials from our 30+ local farm partners all week long, with an extra-local special on Sunday, September 9th.

Mount Bakery - Committed to using organic and local vegetables, fruit, dairy products, and seafood whenever possible.  Local lattes and tartlettes all week long, with an extra-local brunch special Thursday, September 13th. 

Nimbus - All-local specials all week long, with an extra-local dinner special on Wednesday, September 12th.  A portion of your salad purchase always goes to Food To Bank On!  Sourcing from 16+ local suppliers for vegetables, dairy, meats & more.

Pizzazza - Using local ingredients from Hempler's, Skagit River Ranch, Devine Gardens, Twin Sister Mushroom Farm, Breadfarm, Fairhaven Mill, and Holmquist Hazelnut Orchard to create fabulous pizzas and sides.  Making a special appearance with a Woodstone woodfire pizza oven at the Kindred Spirits Celebration on Sunday, 9/16--a fundraiser for Sustainable Connections!

Prospect Street Cafe - Features various styles of cuisine with many local and organic ingredients.  All-local specials all week long.  Open Wendesday-Sunday.

Festival Espresso - Local products all week with all proceeds benefitting Sustainable Connections, Downtown Renaissance Network, and the ReStore.  Latte Art Clinic 12-1pm on Monday, September 10th featuring Moka Joe Coffee, Brekenridge Farm milk, and Bellingham's best baristas!  Also making a special appearance at the Kindred Spirits Celebration on Sunday, 9/16--a fundraiser for Sustainable Connections.

Du Jour Bistro - All-local lunch and 3-course dinner specials all week long.  Enjoy food that is made with fresh, local and seasonal products and a menu that changes daily to reflect this.  The perfect pairing of food and wine.

Bellingham Golf & Country Club - Members and their guests can enjoy local feature menu items all week long.  Lunch special is a buffalo tri-tip and gouda sandwich on ciabatta bread with peppers and onions served with roasted Yukon potatoes.  Dinner special is a grilled buffalo tri-tip topped with oyster and shitake mushrooms served with smashed cheesy red potatoes and seasonal vegetables.  Local farm suppliers are Lone Boot Buffalo Ranch, Samish Bay Cheese, Breadfarm, Joe's Garden, Cascadia Mushroom Works, Hopewell Farms, and K&M Red River Farm. 

Book Fare -  Extra-local lunch Friday, September 14th with all-local specials all week long.  Offering rustic, simple, and flavorful food from a menu unlike any other in Fairhaven, with many of the ingredients grown in their own gardens.

Bistro Zazou - GRAND OPENING on Monday, September 10th with all-local specials all week long.  This authentic French Bistro serves as a showcase for our local community of producers, suppliers, and artisans.

Bellingham Public Market - Featuring lunch specials by Public Market food vendors; specials, samples, and demonstrations at Terra Organica; and the opportunity to buy a leaf, flower, or apple for the Food To Bank On tree all week long. 

Community Food Co-op - Look for all-local specials, samples, and demonstrations throughout the Co-op all week long, including the Produce, Chill, Meat, and Wine sections, and of course at the Swan Cafe & Deli.

All-Local Home Cooking - Your kitchen!  Recipes, resources, details about cooking classes and more on the Sustainable Connections website!  

The 100-Mile-Diet: Join a group of veteran local eaters and check the 100-Mile-Diet blog for tips, resources, potlucks, and answers to all your local-eating questions.

All-Local Donations & Giving at:

Mallard Ice Cream , where the price of your all-local waffle cone is donated to Food To Bank On.  Featured ingredients provided by Alm Hill Farm, Cloud Mountain Farm, and Growing Garden.

Proceeds from sales during Eat Local Week at Festival Espresso benefit Sustainable Connections.  Featuring local milk from Breckenridge Farms and Moka Joe Coffee.

Proceeds from the Saturday 9/15 cooking class with Dandelion Organics at Pacific Chef benefit Sustainable Connections.

Sunday, September 9:

Lunch at Swan Cafe & Deli composed of ingredients from a dozen of our most frequent local vendors.

Dinner at Boundary Bay Brewery featuring breads from Breadfarm, Avenue Bread and Great Harvest bread; ravioli from Nettles farm; salmon from Barlean's; mushrooms from Twin Sisters; mozzarella from Samish Bay Cheese; and veggies from K&M Red River Farm.

Farm Tour & Slow Food Tasting in Bow/Edison, Skagit County, $15 ($10 Slow Food members).  Slow Food Skagit River Salish Sea invites you on a self-guided culinary adventure. Pick up your self-guided farm tour map at Breadfarm in Edison, and visit local farms and farm stands from 11 am to 3 pm. Then, at 3 pm come to Rosabella's for a Slow Food tour and tasting, $10 members / $15 non members. PLEASE PRE-REGISTER at slowfood.skagit@gmail.com.
 
Mount Baker Farmers Market, 10am-3pm.  Located at Kendall Elementary School in Maple Falls.
 
Art Reception - Smith & Vallee Gallery in Edison is hosting a closing reception for Sarah Ruth Vergin's "Humanity of Land" show, 6-9pm.  5742 Gilkey Avenue. Free admission, food and wine provided.  Ten percent of the show's profits donated to Sustainable Connections' Food & Farming Program.

Monday, September 10:

Lunch at Diego's Mexican Grill

Dinner at La Fiamma Wood Fire Pizza - featuring tomato sauce from Brandywine Farm, spinach from DEVine Gardens, and Lone Boot buffalo pepperoni.

Grand Opening at Bistro Zazou - menu items featuring a variety of local vendors including Breadfarm, Cascadia Mushroom Works, Mt Baker Vineyards, Twisted S Bison, K&M Red River Farms, and Moka Joe.

Latte Art Clinic at Festival Espresso - 12-1pm, featuring Moka Joe Coffee, Brekenridge Farm milk, and Bellingham's best

Wednesday Market on the Fairhaven Village Green, 3-7pm.  Your mid-week pick-me-up!  Stock up for the second half of a week full of local eating.

Dinner at Flats Tapas Bar - an entirely local menu to wrap up a whole week of all-local Flats specials. 

"Wild Greek Kitchen" Cooking Class with Dandelion Organic Delivery at Pacific Chef 12pm - Simple traditional Greek veggie dishes using wild and local northwest greens.  Call 360-676-1199 to register. ($15) Benefits Sustainable Connections.

Bellingham Farmers Market, 10am-3pm, featuring Chef in the Market with area cookbook author Steve Martin.  Corner of Railroad and Chestnut in downtown Bellingham.

Ferndale Farmers Market, 11am-3pm.  Located in the parking lot at Benson's Country Market, intersection of Douglas and Mountain View Road in west Ferndale.

Sunday, September 16:

Kindred Spirits Celebration & .2k Harvest Chase, 1-6pm, Depot Market Square (benefitting the Food & Farming Program).  Featuring Pizzazza, Diego's Mexican Grill, Festival Espresso, Mallard Ice Cream, Boundary Bay Beer Garden, Joel Ricci's Westsound Union, and the outrageously fun .2k Harvest Chase obstacle-course relay race.
