GOOD FOOD: Sustainable Food and Farming in the Pacific Northwest—a Seattle International Film Festival selection, featuring many familiar Whatcom County faces, tells the story of a local food and agriculture renaissance in our beautiful corner of the world. Good Food will be presented by the award-winning filmmakers, Melissa Young and Mark Dworkin, as well as some familiar faces featured in the film: Rosalinda Guillen of Community to Community, Ben Scholtz of Mallard Ice Cream, Rio Thomas of Small Potatoes Gleaning Project, and Juana Lopez & Martin Garcia-Reyna of Alm Hill Gardens. Stick around after the film for a lively discussion with this knowledgeable panel! And it all follows an all-local Boundary Bay barbeque. Doors open at 6pm, our panel will introduce the film at 7pm, and the discussion begins at 9pm. Sponsored by Sustainable Connections, Boundary Bay Brewery, and the Pickford Cinema.
