Tour de Farms Bike Ride

Two of our favorite things--farms and bicycles--in one action-packed day!

Saturday, September 13, 9am-6pm

This will be a brisk ride for experienced riders, on or crossing busy roads at times.  We'll also have experienced guides and a sag wagon for emergencies such as hauling home any farm loot you may acquire along the way.  There are 4 options with slight variations on stops and mileage:

51 Mile Ride (From Bellingham, including Bellewood Acres):
Departs from the Bellingham Public Market, 1530 Cornwall Ave, at 9am.  Stops at Boxx Berry Farm, the Ferndale Farmers Market, Lone Boot Buffalo Ranch, Grace Harbor Farms, McPhail Berry Farm, and Bellewood Acres.  We'll spend about 45 minutes at each farm.  See the previous page for detailed descriptions of the farms and their activities for the day.

56 Mile Ride (From Bellingham, including Samson Estates Winery):
Same as above, EXCEPT going to Samson Estates Winery instead of Bellewood Acres.

43 Mile Ride (From Ferndale, including Samson Estates Winery):
Same as above, EXCEPT join the ride at the Ferndale Farmers Market (on the Riverwalk, First and Alder) at 11am.

35 Mile Ride (From Ferndale, including Bellewood Acres):
Same as above (joining the ride at the Ferndale Farmers Market at 11am), EXCEPT visiting Bellewood Acres instead of Samson Estates Winery.

See the basic route HERE

There will be farm-fare available along the way, some free samples and also for purchase, but we recommend that you bring some power-snacks or lunch, as we can't guarantee a well-rounded meal.  And of course water, HELMETS, some cash, and whatever else you need to spend a day in the saddle!

All riders will be asked to sign a waiver before departing.  Helmets are required.  We'll pass the hat upon departure for a suggested $7 donation to help us cover the costs of Eat Local Week and organizing the tour (but we will not turn anyone away for lack of funds).

Ride safely and have fun!
